Job summary

Brophy Family & Youth Services in Warrnambool, VIC, is seeking a Team Leader for Family Violence Women & Children’s Programs. You will oversee specialist trauma-informed responses across multiple programs and guide staff to safety, healing and wellbeing.

You will balance leadership with hands-on practice, ensuring culturally safe, child-centred services aligned with MARAM, Safe and Together and information-sharing laws. A values-driven leader will drive collaboration and service excellence.

Qualifications

• A relevant tertiary or postgraduate qualification with substantial relevant experience.
• Experience delivering therapeutic programs to women and children.
• Graduate Certificate in Family Violence or related field is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary team delivering trauma-informed family violence responses and safety-focused support.
• Provide day-to-day operational oversight, practice guidance and supervision.
• Foster a culture of excellence, reflection and continuous improvement.
• Support practitioners navigating complex family violence situations with trauma-informed, culturally safe responses.
• Engage with internal teams and partner agencies to enhance safety and long-term wellbeing.
