Job summary

Park Hyatt Sydney is seeking a professional Team Leader for The Living Room to maintain high standards of guest service in a luxury setting.

The role involves managing daily operations, coaching staff, and ensuring all policies are executed while delivering exceptional hospitality.

Qualifications

• Proven fine dining restaurant experience and service training.
• 1 year minimum experience in a similar role and environment.
• Current NSW RSA License.
• Well rounded knowledge of wines and beverages.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Manager - The Living Room by ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
• Provide exceptional guest service and handle inquiries and complaints politely.
• Ensure food and beverage standards are implemented.
• Take reservations, greet customers, and present menus and beverage lists.
• Recommend beverages, dishes, and wines to complement meals.
• Take orders and serve food and beverages professionally.
• Provide table service including opening bottles and clearing tables.
• Process payments using POS and cash register.
• Be hands-on and present during busy periods.
• Nurture and develop team members through training and coaching.

We are currently recruiting for a professional Team Leader - The Living Room.

About the role

• Assists the Manager -The Living Room by ensuring that all policies and procedures are successfully executed.
• Provides exceptional guest service at all times and handles all guest and colleague inquiries and complaints in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Ensures that the food and beverage standards are implemented.
• Taking reservations, greeting customers and presenting them with menus and beverage list
• Provide guests with recommendations of beverage as well as dishes and wines to complement food in a friendly and professional manner
• Taking orders and serving food and beverage in professional manner
• Providing table service such as opening bottles and pouring beverages, clearing tables by returning dishes and cutlery to the kitchen, removing empty bottles and used glasses from the table and refilling / replacing glasses
• Collecting payments for sales and operating point of sales machines and cash register
• Is a hands-on Team Leader and is present at all times in the Living Room, especially during busy periods.
• Nurtures and develops each team member, maximising their effectiveness by developing their skills and abilities through appropriate training and coaching.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role the candidate should possess the following:

• Proven a fine dining restaurant experience and qualification in food and beverage service training, preferably diploma or certificate in Hospitality or Tourism management
• 1 year minimum experience in a similar role and environment
• Current NSW RSA License.
• Well rounded knowledge of wines and beverages, coffee making skills
• Basiccomputer literacy skills particularly in the use of MS Office.
