Job summary

CatholicCare NT Wadeye is seeking a Team Leader to oversee a dedicated team delivering Children and Parenting, AOD Counselling and Men’s Behaviour Change services in Wadeye, NT. You will mentor staff, apply professional knowledge and support for direct client services to foster positive community outcomes.

The role focuses on building capacity, strengthening relationships and delivering high-quality social services within a remote Indigenous community.

Qualifications

• Must have a relevant qualification in Social Work, Psychology or Men’s Family Violence.
• Minimum five years' experience in relevant practice and team leadership.
• Specialist knowledge in Children and Parenting, AOD and/or Men’s Behaviour Change.
• Strong report writing, case notes and supervisory skills.
• Cultural competency, especially with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a small team and manage delivery of support in Wadeye with focus on Children and Parenting, AOD Counselling and Men’s Behaviour Change programs.
• Lead and mentor staff, apply professional knowledge and support direct client services.
• Strengthen capacity and build meaningful relationships to bring lasting, positive community change.
