Job summary

Yumaro is looking for a Team Leader to guide frontline supervisors and staff across our social enterprises, including cleaning cloth production, document destruction, recycling and retail. You will support employees with disability, drive daily operations, and foster a positive, inclusive workplace.

The role emphasises mentoring, production planning and ensuring safety, with a flexible, practical approach. Prior disability sector experience is valued but not required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership experience in a team leader, supervisory or similar role.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• A practical, solutions‑focused approach with strong problem‑solving skills and a positive can‑do attitude.
• Ability to provide clear direction, manage workplace challenges professionally and build positive, respectful working relationships.
• Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety principles and the ability to implement safe work practices.
• Applicants will need an NDIS Worker Screening Check, a Working with Children Check (WWCC) and a First Aid Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and support frontline supervisors and staff across Yumaro's social enterprises.
• Support participation, skill development and employment goals for employees with disability.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations and ensure compliant delivery of products and services.
• Coordinate production activities, workflows and resources to meet targets and development goals.
• Promote positive workplace relationships and support supervisors in day‑to‑day challenges.
• Collaborate with internal teams, families and external agencies to maintain strong relationships.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, practices and compliance while maintaining an inclusive environment.
