Zusammenfassung

Wangarang is a community-based, not-for-profit organisation in NSW seeking a Crew Leader to support people with disability to achieve employment goals through meaningful work. You will lead a crew, provide hands-on support, and help employees work safely and productively across production, recycling, cleaning and hospitality.

Reporting to the Senior Supervisor, you will mentor the team, adapt tasks to individual needs and ensure tasks are completed effectively.

Qualifikationen

• Experience leading and coaching a team in a hands-on setting.
• Experience supporting people with disability is essential.
• Willingness to obtain required checks (First Aid, NDIS Worker Screening, WWC).

Hours: Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday work

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated, practical and people-focused Crew Leader to support people with disability to achieve their employment goals through meaningful work.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll work alongside your crew each day, giving each person the support, guidance and encouragement they need to do their job well.

Reporting to the Senior Supervisor, you will lead by example, helping employees work safely, productively and as independently as possible while ensuring operational tasks are completed effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide on-the-job support, instruction and training to supported employees
• Encourage skill development, confidence and workplace independence
• Adapt tasks, instructions and support strategies to suit each person’s needs and abilities
• Coordinate daily workflow and allocate tasks to ensure work requirements are met
• Work alongside employees in production, recycling, cleaning and other operational activities
• Maintain a safe, organised workplace and comply with WHS requirements
• Complete quality checks, record keeping and other operational duties as required

About You

• Ability to lead, support and coach a team while working alongside them
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
• Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Commitment to workplace health and safety
• Experience supporting people with disability
• Experience in manufacturing, warehousing, recycling, cleaning or similar industries
• Certificate III or IV in Disability, Community Services, or a related field
