IAG is seeking a seasoned Team Lead, Project Management Practice, to elevate PMO capability across the portfolio from Sydney (Gadigal Country) or Melbourne (Naarm). You’ll coach Project Managers, drive governance, and champion best practices to ensure reliable delivery outcomes.

You’ll foster accountability, manage RAIDDS, and build a high‑performing community focused on continuous improvement and data‑driven decision making.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years’ experience leading, coaching and developing Project Managers within PMO, Portfolio Office or complex delivery environment.
• Proven leadership with people development, mentoring, talent management and succession planning.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, governance frameworks, delivery assurance and PMO best practices.
• Experience building high‑performing project teams and communities of practice that drive delivery excellence.
• Expertise in RAIDDS management, project controls, financial oversight, forecasting and benefits realization.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills across complex business and technology environments.
• Experience leading demand management, workforce planning, resource optimization, vendor management and governance.
• Desirable qualifications in project, portfolio, agile or change management.

What You’ll Do

This is a permanent role and offer a flexible hybrid work model based in Gadigal Country (Sydney) or Naarm (Melbourne).

What You’ll Bring

• 8-10 years’ experience leading, coaching and developing Project Managers within a PMO, Portfolio Office or complex delivery environment.
• Proven leadership capability with expertise in people development, mentoring, talent management and succession planning.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, governance frameworks, delivery assurance and PMO best practices.
• Demonstrated experience building high-performing project teams and communities of practice that drive delivery excellence.
• Expertise in RAIDDS management, project controls, financial oversight, forecasting and benefits realisation.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to drive outcomes across complex business and technology environments.
• Experience leading demand management, workforce planning, resource optimisation, vendor management and commercial governance.
• Strategic thinker with a track record of continuous improvement, organisational change leadership and enhancing project management maturity; relevant project, portfolio, agile or change management qualifications are desirable.
