Job summary

Myer in Brisbane is seeking a Team Leader to inspire and develop our in-store service and selling team to deliver high performance and exceed customer expectations. You will lead and motivate the team to drive sales targets and ensure customers receive personal attention by creating an exceptional shopping experience.

To succeed, you will have proven people leadership in a retail environment, strong communication with management, and a passion for customer service.

Qualifications

• People leadership / supervisory experience within a retail big box / department environment.
• Retail sales experience with proven customer service and selling skills.
• Able to foster effective communication and collaboration with the management team of the store, team members and customers.
• Time management and work prioritisation with a strong work ethic and problem solving skills.
• Passion for customer service and a love of retail.

Partnering with the Customer Service Manager, your role as Team Leader is integral to inspire and develop our service and selling team to deliver high performance and exceed customer expectations. Lead and motivate the team to develop creative ways to drive sales targets as well as ensuring our customers receive personal attention by creating an exceptional in-store experience.

This role is also a great opportunity to accelerate your retail career and further develop your leadership skills that will provide you with the confidence to become a future member of the Myer store management team.

To be considered for this position you will need to be available to work across our key store trading hours, including fortnightly weekends.

Your Background:

• People leadership / supervisory experience within a retail big box / department environment
• Retail sales experience with proven customer service and selling skills
• Able to foster effective communication and collaboration with the management team of the store, team members and customers
