Job summary

NRMA seeks a Team Leader – Driver Training to lead a team of driving instructors delivering Driver Training, Safer Drivers Course (SDC) and Corporate Driver Training (CDT) programs across NSW. You will balance leadership with hands-on program delivery to ensure safety and exceptional customer outcomes.

You’ll coach, develop people, manage performance and utilise data to drive improvements while ensuring compliance and strong stakeholder collaboration. Weekend availability is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience leading operational, training, education, logistics or service delivery teams.
• Certificate IV in Transport and Logistics (Road Transport – Car Driving Instruction).
• Demonstrated people leadership experience with coaching and capability development.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of driving instructors, facilitators and trainers.
• Support workforce capability, engagement and performance through coaching, ride-alongs and development activities.
• Coordinate day-to-day delivery of Driver Training, Safer Drivers Course and Corporate Driver Training programs.
• Ensure high standards of safety, compliance, and service quality across all training activities.
• Use performance data and insights to drive continuous improvement and utilization.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to align resources with demand and business priorities.

We’re looking for an experienced people leader to join our Driver Training team as a Team Leader – Driver Training, leading a workforce of trainers and instructors delivering Driver Training, Safer Drivers Course (SDC) andsupporttheCorporate Driver Training (CDT) programs across NSW.

What You’ll Do

As Team Leader – Driver Training,you’llplay a critical role in translating operational strategy into frontline execution by:

• Leading,coachingand developing a team of driving instructors,facilitatorsand trainers.
• Supporting workforce capability,engagementand performance through coaching, ride-alongsand development activities.
• Support coordinating day-to-day delivery of Driver Training, Safer Drivers Course and Corporate Driver Training programs.
• Ensuringhigh standardsof safety,compliance,and service quality across all training activities.
• Using performance data and operational insights to drive continuous improvement operational efficiencyandutilization.
• Partnering with internal stakeholders to ensure workforce resources align with customer demand and business priorities.
• This role offers a balance of leadership and operational involvement, with opportunities to remain connected to the customer experience through the delivery of training programs whenrequired.

Company Vehicle

A branded NRMA vehicle will be provided and assigned to the Team Leader for business use.

Weekend Availability

• Weekend work is an essential requirementforthis role. Ideally, the successful candidate will be available to work both weekend days either every weekend or every second weekend.

Essential Experience

• Experience leading operational, training, education,logisticsor service delivery teams.
• Certificate IV in Transport and Logistics (Road Transport – Car Driving Instruction)
• Demonstrated people leadership experience with a strong focus on coaching and capabilitydevelopment.+5years
• Experience managing workforce performance,utilisation,schedulingand operational delivery.
• Strong understanding of safety,complianceand risk management in a regulated environment.
• Ability toanalyseperformance data and translate insights into action.
• Excellent stakeholder management,communicationand problem-solving skills.
• Current Class C DriverLicencewith a satisfactory driving record.
• Current NSW Driving InstructorLicence.
• Current NSW WorkingWithChildren Check.

Highly Regarded

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE).
• Experience within driver training, transport, fieldoperationsor workplace learning environments.
• Experience supporting workforce planning, operationalimprovementor business transformation initiatives.
• Exposure todigital learning platforms or technology-enabled training solutions.
