Job summary

NRMA seeks a Team Leader – Driver Training to lead a team of driving instructors, facilitators and trainers across NSW. You will drive safety, compliance and customer outcomes while delivering Driver Training, SD Courses and CDT programs.

You will coach, develop and manage performance, balancing leadership with hands-on involvement to stay connected to customer experiences where required.

Qualifications

• Experience leading operational, training, education, logistics or service delivery teams.
• Certificate IV in Transport and Logistics (Road Transport – Car Driving Instruction).
• Demonstrated people leadership experience with a strong focus on coaching and capability development.+5 years
• Experience managing workforce performance, utilisation, scheduling and operational delivery.
• Strong understanding of safety, compliance and risk management in a regulated environment.
• Ability to analyse performance data and translate insights into action.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Current Class C Driver Licence with a satisfactory driving record.
• Current NSW Driving Instructor Licence.
• Current NSW Working With Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Leading, coaching and developing a team of driving instructors, facilitators and trainers.
• Supporting workforce capability, engagement and performance through coaching, ride‑alongs and development activities.
• Support coordinating day‑to‑day delivery of Driver Training, Safer Drivers Course and Corporate Driver Training programs.
• Ensuring high standards of safety, compliance, and service quality across all training activities.
• Using performance data and operational insights to drive continuous improvement operational efficiency and utilization.
• Partnering with internal stakeholders to ensure workforce resources align with customer demand and business priorities.
• This role offers a balance of leadership and operational involvement, with opportunities to remain connected to the customer experience through the delivery of training programs when required.
