Job summary

Kirinari Community Services seeks a Team Leader – Disability in the Bathurst region to oversee supported independent living services. You will lead a team, mentor staff, and ensure high-quality, person-centred care across SIL/Group Homes, including domestic and personal care and community engagement.

The role emphasises leadership, staff development and the ability to work across shifts, with opportunities for progression and a supportive leadership team.

Qualifications

• Experience in the health sector is highly regarded.
• Demonstrated leadership experience is highly regarded.
• Ability and willingness to work shift work, including nights and weekends, with significant availability.
• Resilience, confidence and the ability to work independently and as a team.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships.
• Ability to obtain the NDIS Workers Screening Check before starting.
• Ability to obtain NSW Working with Children Check before starting.
• Ability to use computers and learn various software/programs.
• Must have a smartphone for work.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence.

We have an opportunity in the Bathurst region for a Team Leader – Disability to join our dynamic team.

Kirinari is a highly reputable and respected disability support service providing essential care and high-quality support to enrich the lives of our customers. Kirinari employ over 1300 staff in various regions across VIC, NSW and TAS.

About the Position

As a Team Leader, you will oversee the implementation of individualised supports within a supported independent living accommodation settings (SIL/Group Homes). You will strengthen the knowledge and abilities of our Support Worker team to ensure a person-centered and high-quality culture within the program.

You will provide direct support and lead your team across a range of customer needs including; domestic and personal care assistance as well as assisting our customers to access and have a positive connection to the community. This position ensures the operation of an allotted SIL/s with administrative functions whilst providing leadership and mentoring to a team of Disability Support Workers to support and develop skill capacity.

This position will be leading a team in our house that has X customers requiring X support.

This position is full-time working 76 hours per fortnight and will commence as soon as practicable.

About You

• Previous experience in the Health sector is highly regarded
• Demonstrated leadership experience is highly regarded
• Ability and willingness to work shift work, regular sleepovers/active nights, weekends and public/school holidays with significant availability
• Resilience, confidence and the ability to work independently and as a team
• Strong communication skills with the ability to develop positive relationships
• Ability to obtain the NDIS Workers Screen Check prior to commencement
• Ability to obtain a paid NSW Working with Children Check prior to commencement
• Ability to use computers and learn a variety of software/programs
• Smart Phone
• Current Australian Driver's Licence
