Job summary

Kirinari Community Services Limited is hiring Disability Support Workers in Inverell NSW for casual roles. You will provide 24/7 support in SIL/Group Homes, assisting with domestic and personal care and helping clients access community activities.

Applicants should be prepared for shift work, including sleepovers, weekends, and overnights. A current Australian Driver's Licence and ability to obtain the NDIS Worker Screening Check are required.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work shift work including sleepovers and nights.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to obtain NDIS Workers Screen Check before start.
• Comfort with computers and various software/programs.
• Must hold a current Australian Driver's Licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support across domestic and personal care needs.
• Assist customers to access and connect with the community.
• Support in 24/7 SIL/Group Homes environments as required.
• Work in a flexible 24/7 availability, including weekends and overnights.

About the Position

Our DSW's support people in their day-to-day living. We provide quality 24/7 care in our supported independent living accommodation settings (SIL/Group Homes) ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for our customers.

You will provide direct support across a range of customer needs including, domestic and personal care assistance as well as assisting our customers to access and have a positive connection to the community.

Broad availability to provide services in a 24/7 environment, weekend and overnight availability is a must (generous penalties apply).

We currently have several CASUAL positions on offer to commence practicable.

About You:

• Ability and willingness to work shift work, regular sleepovers/active nights, weekends and public/school holidays with significant availability
• Resilience, confidence and the ability to work independently and as a team
• Strong communication skills with the ability to develop positive relationships
• Ability to obtain the NDIS Workers Screen Check prior to commencement
• Ability to use computers and learn a variety of software/programs
• Smart Phone
• Current Australian Driver's Licence
