Job summary

Kirinari Community Services Ltd. invites applications for Disability Support Workers in Port Macquarie NSW. You will provide day-to-day living support, assist with personal care and help clients access community activities.

The role requires 24/7 availability, including weekends and overnights, with generous penalties. Training and induction are provided, with opportunities to grow within the organisation. We welcome experienced and entry-level candidates who are committed to compassionate care,

Qualifications

• Willingness to work shift work, including sleepovers and nights.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfort with computers and learning new software programs.
• Must hold a current Australian Driver's Licence and be able to obtain NDIS Screen Check.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support for daily living including domestic and personal care.
• Help customers access and connect with the community.
• Support 24/7 care in SIL/Group Homes, ensuring a safe, nurturing environment.
• Be available for weekends, overnights and public holidays as required.

About the Position

Our DSW's support people in their day-to-day living. We provide quality 24/7 care in our supported independent living accommodation settings (SIL/Group Homes) ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for our customers.

You will provide direct support across a range of customer needs including, domestic and personal care assistance as well as assisting our customers to access and have a positive connection to the community.
Broad availability to provide services in a 24/7 environment, weekend and overnight availability is a must (generous penalties apply).
We currently have several positions on offer to commence asap.

About You:

• Ability and willingness to work shift work, regular sleepovers/active nights,
  weekends and public/school holidays with significant availability
• Resilience, confidence and the ability to work independently and as a team
• Strong communication skills with the ability to develop positive relationships
• Ability to obtain the NDIS Workers Screen Check prior to commencement
• Ability to use computers and learn a variety of software/programs
• Smart Phone
• Current Australian Driver's Licence
