Job summary
The City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters is seeking a Team Leader, Development to lead the Development Assessment Unit and shape policy for high quality urban outcomes. In this full-time role you will manage a cross-functional team, assess complex Development Applications, develop planning policies, deliver timely guidance to Council and the community, and promote collaborative leadership.
Flexible working conditions and a starting salary of $138,656 + Super support a balanced, civic-minded
Qualifications
- Extensive experience assessing Development Applications.
- Experience drafting policies aligned with legislation.
- Knowledge of the PDI Act and Regulations.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- PIA Corporate Membership eligibility.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate Planning and Development Compliance duties.
- Assess complex Development Applications under PDI Act.
- Develop policies for Planning & Design Code.
- Provide timely planning advice to Council and community.
- Monitor planning systems effectiveness.
- Liquor licensing advisory to applicants and council.
