The Victorian Government - Department of Families, Fairness and Housing seeks a Team Leader to oversee a residential unit, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of clients and providing professional supervision to a team of Direct Care Workers.

You will coordinate program delivery, manage resources, model strong people management, and build positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders while supporting staff to achieve outcomes in line with case plans.

THE ROLE

The Team Leader is responsible for the direct care, safety and support of clients in a residential unit and provides professional supervision to a team of Direct Care Workers.

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

• Coordinate and supervise all aspects of direct management of clients' standards are met and that clients are engaged in programs and services appropriate to their case planning goals.


• Manage the allocation of resources within and the outputs required of the work area.


• Effectively supervise and provide leadership to a team of employees by:
  
  
  
  • modelling behaviours integral to good people management and departmental values
  
  
  • supporting individuals to achieve their potential while maximising their contribution to achieve their goals and outcomes
  
  
  • where relevant, support specific improvement objectives in annual improvement plans relating to the area of responsibility
  
  
  • building and maintaining positive relationships with peers and stakeholders across the organisation.
