We're looking for a confident and compassionate leader to guide a team of Residential Support Workers delivering safe, consistent and high-quality care to young people aged 12-18. You'll create a positive team culture, build capability and ensure young people receive the support they need to thrive.
Working closely with the Program Manager and broader multidisciplinary team, you'll lead day-to-day operations, coach staff and champion trauma-informed practice. You'll play a key role in helping young people develop the skills, resilience and confidence needed for greater independence.
Our Therapeutic Youth Residential Services program provides 24-hour care and support to young people who are unable to live safely at home. Many of the young people we support have experienced trauma, abuse or significant life challenges and require stable, therapeutic care to help them heal and grow.
Through trauma-informed practice, our teams create safe and supportive environments where young people can build positive relationships, develop essential life skills and work towards greater independence and brighter futures.
At Uniting, we believe every young person deserves the opportunity to thrive, and our residential teams make that difference every day.
At Uniting, you’ll enjoy:
You're an experienced people leader who is passionate about supporting young people and building high-performing teams within a residential, youth or community services environment.
We create real change in people’s lives by working in partnership with people, communities, governments and other agencies to reduce the impact of poverty, trauma and disadvantage.
We provide compassionate care for people facing tough times and personal challenges. We support children and young people to break the cycle of disadvantage. We help families keep safe, together and thriving.
For over 100 years we’ve been fighting inequality, opposing discrimination, and responding to the needs in our communities across Victoria and Tasmania.
