Job summary

Subway Group is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead the team in a Subway franchise. The role focuses on staff recruitment, training, scheduling, cash handling and inventory control to ensure smooth daily operations and exceptional customer service.

You will oversee compliance with Subway standards, housekeeping, in-store marketing and safety protocols while delivering a high standard of service to customers and managing vendor deliveries and banking tasks.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment / induction and training of staff in line with Subway requirements
• Create and manage staff schedules
• Check in deliveries, match orders and handle daily banking
• Prepare stock and sales paperwork; process employee pay and timesheets
• Manage cash balances and minimise wastage
• Ensure 100% compliance with Subway and council guidelines
• Conduct inventory management and weekly stock takes
• Analyse weekly sales and inventory reports to improve the business
• Undertake housekeeping to maintain restaurant cleanliness and presentation
• Implement in-store marketing material and POP in campaigns
• Follow safety procedures to prevent injuries
• Provide a safe work environment for staff and customers
• Promote high levels of customer service among employees
• Handle unresolved and escalated customer complaints
• Deliver high-standard service for products, sales and catering to customer needs
