Job summary

Chisholm Institute seeks an experienced and student-focused Teacher VCE VM for the Senior Secondary Team. Plan and deliver engaging education sessions aligned to the Victorian Teaching and Learning Model 2.0, using Moodle and other technologies to meet diverse learner needs.

You will ensure compliance with VCAA VCE-VM and VPC requirements, maintain accurate attendance and results in Markbook and Strata, and support student engagement to reduce attrition.

Qualifications

• Approved tertiary qualification in Education with major studies in a relevant VCE discipline is required.
• Registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) is required.
• Professional currency as required by the Victorian Institute of Teaching is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan education practices and delivery sessions reflecting the Victorian Teaching and Learning Model 2.0 and engage learners.
• Develop and deliver planned teaching sessions using technology to meet learner needs and styles.
• Ensure teaching materials meet regulatory standards including VCE, VCAA, VCE-VM and VPC requirements.
• Maintain accurate attendance in Markbook and ensure results and data are recorded in Strata for compliance.
• Enhance student experience to improve engagement and prevent attrition.
• Differentiate learning and assessment to cater for diverse students and environments.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Plan education practices and delivery sessions that reflect the most effective way to engage learners, adapting strategies outlined in the Victorian Teaching and Learning Model 2.0 and giving consideration to individual, targeted and universal engagement strategies.
• Develop and deliver planned teaching sessions in a variety of innovative and adaptive ways, using technology, including Moodle, to engage learners and meet their needs and learning styles.
• Ensure that teaching materials and resources meet all regulatory standards including Victorian Curriculum Assessment Authority (VCAA) VCE, VCE-VM and VPC course, curriculum and delivery requirements.
• Maintain accurate and up to date student attendance records within Markbook and ensure all student results and information are accurately recorded within Strata to ensure compliance with Regulatory requirements, Chisholm Policies and Procedures.
• Enhance the student experience to improve engagement early on and assist learners to interact with their academic and social environment to prevent attrition and to encourage success.
• Differentiate learning and assessment materials to cater for different students, learning environments, facilities and resources.

• Salary: $84,618 to $128,887 p.a. plus superannuation
