Job summary

Chisholm Institute of TAFE – Frankston VIC is seeking an experienced Teacher VCE VM for the Senior Secondary Team. You will plan and deliver engaging VCE-VM education sessions, incorporating Moodle and other technologies to meet diverse student needs.

The role requires approved Education qualifications, VIT registration, and ongoing professional currency. You will work within a supportive Belonging & Inclusion framework, supporting student success and regulatory compliance across VCE/VM delivery.

Qualifications

• Approved tertiary qualification in Education.
• Registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
• Professional currency as required by the Victorian Institute of Teaching.

Responsibilities

• Plan education practices and delivery sessions reflecting the Victorian Teaching and Learning Model 2.0.
• Develop and deliver planned teaching sessions using technology to engage learners.
• Ensure teaching materials meet regulatory standards including VCAA VCE, VCE-VM and VPC requirements.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and ensure student results are recorded in Strata for compliance.
• Enhance student experience to improve engagement and support retention.
• Differentiate learning and assessment materials for diverse learners.

Chisholm is seeking an experienced and student-focused Teacher VCE VM for the Senior Secondary Team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a teacher, VCE VM, Senior Secondary, your key responsibilities include:

• Plan education practices and delivery sessions that reflect the most effective way to engage learners, adapting strategies outlined in the Victorian Teaching and Learning Model 2.0 and giving consideration to individual, targeted and universal engagement strategies.
• Develop and deliver planned teaching sessions in a variety of innovative and adaptive ways, using technology, including Moodle, to engage learners and meet their needs and learning styles.
• Ensure that teaching materials and resources meet all regulatory standards including Victorian Curriculum Assessment Authority (VCAA) VCE, VCE-VM and VPC course, curriculum and delivery requirements.
• Maintain accurate and up to date student attendance records within Markbook and ensure all student results and information are accurately recorded within Strata to ensure compliance with Regulatory requirements, Chisholm Policies and Procedures.
• Enhance the student experience to improve engagement early on and assist learners to interact with their academic and social environment to prevent attrition and to encourage success.
• Differentiate learning and assessment materials to cater for different students, learning environments, facilities and resources.

ABOUT YOU

Qualifications required for the role

• Approved tertiary qualification in Education with major studies in a relevant VCE discipline or disciplines.
• Registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
• Professional currency as required by the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
