Job summary

Shore is seeking a TAS teacher with demonstrated expertise in Design and Technology, Engineering and Industrial Technology to teach across Stages 4–6. The role is a 12‑month contract commencing Term 1, 2027, with delivery of practical, design-focused learning aligned to the NESA curriculum.

The successful candidate will inspire senior students, collaborate with colleagues and model a commitment to ongoing professional learning and wellbeing within a supportive school community.

Qualifications

  • Qualifications and experience to teach TAS with expertise in Design and Technology, Engineering and Industrial Technology across Stages 4,5 & 6.
  • Knowledge of the NESA curriculum and ability to design and deliver engaging, rigorous and practical learning experiences.

Responsibilities

This is an initial 12-month contract position commencing Term 1, 2027.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have qualifications and experience to teach TAS, with demonstrated expertise in Design and Technology, Engineering and Industrial Technology across Stages 4,5 & 6.
  • Have current knowledge of the NESA curriculum and the ability to design and deliver engaging, rigorous and practical learning experiences that support student growth and achievement.
  • Demonstrate evidence of excellence as a classroom teacher with an ongoing commitment to your own professional learning
  • Have the ability to inspire and engage effectively with senior school students.
  • Have a strong working knowledge in matters of pedagogy, curriculum, and assessment for senior school students.
  • Be a passionate advocate for practical, design-focused and innovative approaches to learning, with the ability to demonstrate how this has been applied in lesson planning, classroom management and workshop or practical learning environments.
  • Be a superior communicator, both written and verbally, including possessing a demonstrated ability to engage with parents, staff, and students effectively.
