Jerdacuttup Primary School has a rich history and strong community involvement, offers a nurturing and safe environment for students from Kindergarten to Year 6. The school features two classrooms catering to different year groups, along with specialized facilities such as a library, music room, art and science shed, and a computer laboratory. The successful applicant will ideally possess outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with students, staff and the wider community. You should be highly motivated and implement high quality, engaging and effective learning programs. Experience and skills in evidence-based literacy teaching pedagogies is desirable with the expectation of creating a safe and supportive learning environment that values diversity and promotes equity for all students.
The successful applicant would deliver high-quality, engaging programs in Aboriginal languages, fostering linguistic skills and cultural understanding among students that embed Aboriginal perspectives, histories, and cultural practices into the curriculum, aligned with School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA) requirements for language learning.

Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school* may elect to undertake this role as a 3-year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position.
At the cessation of the 3-year mobility appointment, teachers can elect to return to their substantive role, or transfer permanently into this school.
