Job summary

Byford Secondary College, part of the Western Australian Department of Education, is seeking a highly capable English teacher for a permanent full-time appointment. The role focuses on delivering high-quality English across Year 7–12, including ATAR courses, within a supportive school community.

The Role Byford SC is seeking to appoint a highly skilled and motivated English Teacher to join our team. We are committed to excellence in teaching and learning and are seeking a like-minded teacher with a passion for teaching secondary students and a sound understanding of the West Australian English curriculum. Ideally, the successful applicant will have the knowledge and experience to teach Senior School including an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) Course of study. The successful applicant should be an active contributor to the English Learning Area and reflective in their practice to support professional growth and improvement of educational outcomes for students. Knowledge and the ability to use high impact learning strategies to successfully engage students in English will be highly regarded. The ability to differentiate curriculum and implement innovative approaches to improve outcomes for both high and low achieving students is a key element to this position.
