Holmesglen Institute is seeking an experienced educator to teach apprentices and industry professionals in the Electrical Supply Industry (Underground/Cable Jointer). The role focuses on hands-on delivery, on-campus instruction, and building industry currency through practical training at Holmesglen.

The successful candidate will have a teaching qualification, current industry tickets, and substantial ESI experience, including linesperson or HV work.

Qualifications

• Teaching qualification — Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122/TAE40116/TAE40110)
• Current industry licences/tickets
• Significant experience in the Electrical Supply Industry
• Experience as a Linesperson / High Voltage Operator / Live Line Worker

Responsabilités

• Teach apprentices and industry personnel across underground power distribution networks
• Deliver training on LV/HV cable jointing, terminations, and installation, testing and commissioning
• Promote safe work practices and network procedures
• Support student engagement, assessment and maintain industry currency on campus

Teacher - Electrical Supply Industry (Underground/Cable Jointer)

• Full-Time | Ongoing contract of employment
• Salary package: $175,238 to $180,000, inclusive of 12% superannuation
• Drummond Street Campus – onsite parking with close proximity to public transport
• Flexibility under our teaching agreement

About the role:

We’re looking for experienced Cable Jointers and Underground Distribution professionals who want to share their expertise and help train the next generation of ESI workers.

You’ll teach apprentices and industry personnel across:

• Underground power distribution networks
• LV and HV cable jointing and terminations
• Cable installation, testing and commissioning
• Fault finding and network restoration
• Safe work practices and network procedures

What you’ll need:

• Teaching qualification — Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) / TAE40116 / TAE40110
• Current industry licences/tickets
• Significant experience in the Electrical Supply Industry
• Experience as a Linesperson / High Voltage Operator / Live Line Worker
• WWCC and Police Check: Victorian ‘employee’ Working with Children Check, and a valid Police Check within the last 12 months.
