Ingleburn High School in Sydney's southwest invites applications for a Teacher Careers Advisor. The role focuses on delivering career education, NESA and VET programs, and supporting student transitions.
You will collaborate with the school community, external training providers, and agencies to create diverse learning opportunities for students, including those from EAL/D and low SES backgrounds.
Ingleburn High School is a co-educational comprehensive high school in South Western Sydney which services the needs and aspirations of a diverse and growing multi-cultural urban population. The school enrolment is currently at 800, including 71 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and 45% of the school population being from a Non English speaking background. The school’s support unit currently consists of 7 classes and will move to 9 in 2027.
The school is committed to continually improving effective classroom practices with staff professional learning being the key to ensuring this. This learning ensures that both literacy and numeracy levels can be enhanced through improved data analysis and used to support student learning. Ingleburn High School aims to provide broad-based educational experiences that are both relevant and challenging in collaborative classrooms. Students are always encouraged to take responsibility for their own academic and social and emotional learning, extending their own abilities and interests so that they can reach their potential and make valuable contributions toward Australian society.
