Job summary

Nambour Christian College in Queensland is seeking a caring Teacher Assistant to join the Learning Enrichment team. You will support students with diverse learning needs, assisting with literacy, numeracy and classroom participation under teachers' guidance.

This is a permanent, term-time position, five days per week, 8:00 am to 3:15 pm, starting Term 1, January 2027. A Certificate IV in Education Support (or equivalent) and a current Blue Card are essential; salary is set in the NCC Enterprise

About the Role

We are seeking a caring, capable and highly organised Teacher Assistant to join our High School Learning Enrichment team.

This is a permanent, term-time-only position, five days per week, from 8:00 am to 3:15 pm, with a start date of Term 1, January 2027.

This role provides practical learning support for students with diagnosed disabilities and diverse learning needs, including assistance with literacy, numeracy, subject‑specific tasks, classroom participation, excursions, breaks and Learning Enrichment programs.

Reporting to the Head of Learning Enrichment – Middle and Senior School, the Teacher Assistant LE works collaboratively with Learning Enrichment Teachers, classroom teachers, students and other Teacher Assistants to support differentiated teaching strategies and positive student engagement.

This position will suit someone who is patient, flexible and relational, with the ability to build respectful connections with students while maintaining professional boundaries and working within school protocols.

About You

You are a compassionate and dependable professional who enjoys helping students access learning and participate positively in school life. You bring strong communication, organisation and record‑keeping skills, and are able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Although our preference is that you hold a Certificate IV in Education Support, or equivalent, with specific qualifications relating to working with students with disability. Applicants holding a Certificate III may be considered based on their experience and professional competencies. A current Blue Card is essential. You will share a personal commitment to the Mission and Vision of Nambour Christian College and contribute positively to the spiritual life of our community.
