Job summary

The Department of Treasury & Finance is seeking a Taxation Officer to join RevenueSA's Contact Centre in Adelaide. You will provide expert support to customers and frontline staff, handling inquiries and guiding colleagues to deliver high-quality service.

In this fast-paced, customer-focused role, you will contribute to continuous service improvements, manage complex processes, and help maintain accuracy and efficiency across tax-related interactions.

Qualifications

• Experience contributing to the development, implementation and review of policies, procedures, strategies and service improvement initiatives.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
• Strong administrative skills, with the ability to manage complex processes and information.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and adapt to changing business needs.
• Well-developed analytical, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively support and guide colleagues.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other business systems.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the initial escalation point for complex customer enquiries and complaints received via phone and email.
• Providing real-time technical guidance and support to Contact Centre Taxation Officers.
• Managing inbound customer interactions as part of the Contact Centre roster.
• Supporting Team Leaders with training, coaching and capability development initiatives.
• Providing on-the-floor operational support to frontline staff to assist with workload management and service delivery.
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance customer service, processes and team performance.
