Job summary

Sleek is expanding its Australian tax services team. You’ll own the end‑to‑end BAS and tax return processes for a portfolio of startups and SMEs, while mentoring junior bookkeepers and tax accountants. You’ll engage with clients and the ATO to deliver accurate tax advice and timely compliance.

Qualifications

• TPB registration as an individual Tax Agent with at least 2 years of experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a practising tax accountant managing a portfolio of SME clients (sole traders, companies, trusts...).
• At least 2 years’ experience managing a team of bookkeepers and tax accountants.
• Strong client service and communication skills, able to explain tax matters clearly and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Be the backbone of Sleek’s Australian tax services and scale internal processes.
• Manage your own portfolio of startup and SME clients from advisory to compliance.
• Represent clients confidently with the ATO as their tax expert.
• Own end-to-end BAS and tax return prep and lodgment with high accuracy.
• Provide guidance and quality control for the remote bookkeeping team.
• Act as a trusted advisor on accounting and tax matters, from planning to problem-solving.
• Lead, mentor and grow a team of bookkeepers and tax accountants.
