Job summary

DHL Supply Chain Australia is seeking an Operations Manager to lead warehouse operations, drive efficiency, and safeguard safe, cost-effective processes across our site in Tasmania. You will manage customer relationships, develop teams, and optimise labour planning and inventory accuracy using the latest technology.

This is a 2-year max term contract focused on service excellence, continuous improvement, and strong stakeholder engagement to deliver reliable logistics solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience within Supply Chain/Logistics.
• Strong leadership with 3+ years of team management.
• End-to-end supply chain knowledge and labour planning.
• Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• WMS experience (SAP or Manhattan) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee warehouse operations for the customer with safe, cost-efficient activity.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through reliable service delivery.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain location and inventory accuracy and drive productivity.
• Align with the customer's annual business plan and take corrective actions as needed.

In this job you will:

As an Operations Manager at DHL, you'll overcome daily logistical challenges to ensure warehouse operations run smoothly.

This role is a 2-year max term contract.

You will manage, develop and grow customer relationships for the site as well as manage current employee welfare and satisfaction. Use your talents to lead a committed team to greatness and drive the future of logistics, using the latest technology

• Manage and control operations for the customer, ensuring a safe working environment coupled with cost effective operational activities
• Ensuring Customer satisfaction through excellent service delivery
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customer and stakeholders, both internal and external
• Maintain location and inventory accuracy and increase productivity streams
• Ensure customer's annual business plan including revenue, profit and service levels are met and correct action is taken to rectify

You have the following qualities & qualifications:

• 5+ years' experience within Supply Chain/Logistics
• Superior knowledge of warehouse operations within a 3PL environment
• 3+ years' managing teams with strong leadership experience
• Exceptional end to end knowledge of Supply Chain Operations with a strong background in labour planning, cost management and improvement opportunities
• Excellent people management skills with the ability to influence across a broad spectrum of internal and external stakeholders
• Outstanding customer relationship attributes and a strong customer service focus
• Highly developed conflict resolution and negotiation skills
• Strong experience with WMS - ideally SAP or Manhattan systems
