Job summary

DHL Supply Chain Australia is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee high-volume, time-sensitive distribution and dairy deliveries across Sydney. You will lead transport, fleet allocations and ensure outstanding customer service, safety, and operational targets are met in line with delivery schedules.

You will manage a team including supervisors and drivers, develop KPIs, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in the transport and distribution industry.
• Be a strong and efficient leader in safety and compliance.
• Proven skills and experience in developing and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships.
• Proven planning, problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to work through issues and coach others.
• Highly developed communication and presentation skills for senior management in a continuous improvement environment.
• Medium to high skills in the Microsoft Office suite.

In this job you will:

You have the following qualities and qualifications:

• Experience in the transport and distribution industry.
• Be a strong and efficient leader in safety and compliance
• Previous experience developing and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships
• Proven skills and experience in people leadership and an ability to develop a positive culture and motivate a team
• Proven planning, problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to work through issues with moderate complexity and guide and/or coach others in the resolution of problems
• Highly developed communication and presentation skills with the capacity to negotiate at a senior management level in a continuous improvement environment
• Medium to high skills in the Microsoft Office suite
