Job summary

DHL Supply Chain Australia in Sydney is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead high-volume dairy distribution, manage transport fleets, ensure safety and deliver outstanding service across the region.

You will develop and optimize fleet and warehouse operations, lead a team of drivers and supervisors, and drive continuous improvement through KPI tracking and stakeholder engagement with senior management and customers.

Qualifications

• Experience in the transport and distribution industry.
• Demonstrated leadership in safety and compliance.
• Proven ability to build stakeholder relationships.
• Experience leading teams and developing positive culture.
• Strong planning, problem solving, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to negotiate with senior management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

In this job you will:

This Operations Manager will be responsible for high volume, time sensitivedistribution and themanagement of dairy product deliveries across Sydney. The successful applicant ideally should have previous experience managing the transport, fleet allocations and ensure outstanding customer service standards are achieved, and safety and operational targets are met in line with delivery schedules.

You have the following qualities and qualifications:

• Experience in the transport and distribution industry.
• Be a strong and efficient leader in safety and compliance
• Previous experience developing and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships
• Proven skills and experience in people leadership and an ability to develop a positive culture and motivate a team
• Proven planning, problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to work through issues with moderate complexity and guide and/or coach others in the resolution of problems
• Highly developed communication and presentation skills with the capacity to negotiate at a senior management level in a continuous improvement environment
• Medium to high skills in the Microsoft Office suite
