Singh's Curry House in Narangba, Queensland, is hiring a full-time Cook to join our team. You will prepare and cook authentic Indian tandoori and curry dishes and maintain high standards of taste and presentation.

The ideal candidate has at least 12 months' experience in Indian cuisine, strong teamwork and communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Salary ranges from 75,000 to 78,000 AUD plus superannuation.

Qualifications

• At least 12 months’ experience in an Indian restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of Indian cuisine and tandoor cooking techniques.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes, including curries and tandoori meats.
• Ensure dishes meet quality standards and are presented well.
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen following food safety rules.
• Assist with menu planning and develop new dishes.
• Order and manage inventory of ingredients and supplies.
• Train and supervise junior kitchen staff.
• Collaborate with management for smooth kitchen operation.
• Provide excellent customer service and handle special requests.
