Job summary

Geosurv, a Sydney-based surveying and geospatial business, is expanding its Utilities Network and seeks a proactive Talent Acquisition Business Partner. You will own end-to-end recruitment, actively sourcing and headhunting candidates across utilities, civil construction and infrastructure, and build strong pipelines.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will manage candidate communications, coordinate interviews and onboarding, and help shape workforce strategy during a exciting growth phase

Qualifications

• 5+ years in talent acquisition or recruitment in utilities, civil construction, infrastructure, engineering or blue-collar roles.
• Direct sourcing and headhunting experience is essential.
• Experience either in-house or agency recruitment is acceptable.

• Manage end-to-end recruitment across the Utilities Network.

• Create engaging job advertisements across SEEK, LinkedIn and other platforms.

• Coordinate references, licences, tickets and pre-employment requirements.
• Maintain accurate recruitment activity within the ATS.
• Provide leaders with updates on vacancies and candidate pipelines.
• Support candidates through offer, onboarding, induction and commencement.

Geosurv is a Sydney-based business delivering Surveying, Geospatial and Utilities services across major infrastructure, construction and development projects throughout NSW. We are working on some of the largest construction and infrastructure projects across the state.

With a team of around 100 people and continued growth across both our Geospatial and Utilities Networks, we are investing in the people and capability needed to support the next stage of the business.

Our Utilities Network is a major focus of that growth, delivering services across utility locating and mapping, utility surveying, CCTV, non-destructive digging, civil works and asset investigation and maintenance.

Geosurv is looking for a proactive and driven Talent Acquisition Business Partner to take ownership of recruitment across our growing Utilities Network.

This is a highly proactive recruitment role with a strong focus on direct sourcing and headhunting. While job advertising will form part of the recruitment mix, we are looking for someone with demonstrated experience identifying and engaging passive candidates, not someone who relies primarily on SEEK applications to fill vacancies.

You will spend a significant part of your time actively searching the market, approaching candidates directly, building relationships and developing talent pipelines across the Utilities industry.

You will have the opportunity to take genuine ownership of your recruitment portfolio while learning from a highly experienced TA Business partner and continuing to develop your knowledge of the Utilities and infrastructure industry.

You will also get exposure to business planning, business development, resource strategy and P&C.

What You Will Be Doing

About You

You will have a strong background in talent acquisition and enjoy the proactive side of recruitment and relationship building.

Demonstrated experience in direct sourcing and headhunting is essential.

You will be confident identifying and approaching passive candidates, picking up the phone and building relationships with people who may not currently be actively looking for their next opportunity.

Experience across utilities, civil construction, infrastructure, engineering, trades or blue-collar recruitment is a requirement. Ideally with 5+ years in the industry.

We welcome candidates with recruitment experience gained either in-house or through a recruitment agency.
