The Fitting Room Tailoring in Broadbeach, QLD is seeking a skilled Tailor to join our premium alterations team. You will sew, pin, and tailor garments to achieve flawless fits and stylish finishes for our customers.

As a full-time member of our Gold Coast store, you’ll work closely with fitters, maintain an organised workspace, and provide friendly, attentive service. We value efficiency, accuracy, and a customer-centric approach to deliver outstanding alterations.

Qualifications

• Previous tailoring experience in retail or alterations is required.
• Excellent seamstressing knowledge with attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

The Tailor plays a crucial role at The Fitting Room Tailoring a leading alterations and tailoring business of high-quality fashion. As the tailor, you will be responsible for providing exceptional seamstress work with extensive experience, helping customers adjust their garments to their perfect fit and style for their needs. This full-time position is based in our Gold Coast store.

What you'll be doing

• Actively engage with the fitters understanding the pinning and work required on the garments.
• Expertly sew and providing recommendations for alterations on the garment.
• Maintain a well-organised work space.
• Assist with stock alteration racks and communication with fitters in the tailoring room.
• Provide friendly and attentive service and the ability to work independently.
• Productive with your work to ensure work is completed quickly and of a high standard.
• Collaborate with the wider store team to achieve productivity targets and deliver an exceptional alteration to clothing.

• Previous experience in tailoring in retail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with the team.
• Excellent seamstress's knowledge and an eye for detail to ensure premium work.
• Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment
• A team player with a positive, customer-centric attitude
