Job summary

Atelier Alterations in Sydney CBD is looking for an experienced Tailor to join our team on a casual basis. You will perform high-quality alterations focused on men’s suiting and other garments, working with precision and maintaining a clean, organised workspace.

The role requires a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Tailor or Dressmaker, strong technical skills in garment alterations and construction, and the ability to work independently within a professional team.

About the role

We are looking for a talented and experienced Tailor to join our team at Atelier Alterations, located in the heart of Sydney CBD. This is a casual position.

As part of our team, you will provide high-quality alterations and tailoring services, primarily focused on men’s suiting.

What you’ll be doing

Performing a wide range of alterations, including shorten sleeves jacket, hemming, taking in/letting out, shortening/lengthening, and more

Working with precision, quality and productivity.

Using industrial and standard sewing machines confidently

Maintaining a clean and organised workspace

What we’re looking for

Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Tailor or Dressmaker

Strong technical skills in garment alterations and construction

Experience working with men’s suiting (highly regarded)

Ability to work across different garment types (men’s, women’s, etc.)

High attention to detail, quality workmanship and productivity.

Reliable, organised, and able to work independently
