Job summary

Boeing Defence Australia is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the Wakulda Program in Australia. The role involves evaluating needs, shaping system performance, and leading analyses across complex systems.

You will work with stakeholders to ensure requirements are understood, and assist in planning and delivery within time and budget constraints. Based in Brisbane or Williamtown, applicants should have defence sector experience, NV1 clearance, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Approx 2 years' experience in complex technical development and integration projects.
• Understanding of Systems Engineering principles and lifecycle management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Experience in complex systems of systems test, integration and verification planning and execution.
• Experience with Change Management processes and progressing change artefacts.
• Experience in aerospace and/or defence projects; NV1 clearance.
• Experience supporting projects in an ASDEFCON contract environment is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate parameters and assure compatibility of interfaces.
• Performs analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.
• Supports planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management, risk, issues, opportunity, and technology readiness assessment processes.
• Tests and validates designs to meet operational and functional requirements.
• Acts as a stakeholder interface to ensure engineering status is understood and communicated to project deliverables.
• Works with the project team to ensure the engineering scope is Developed, Verified and Delivered within quality, schedule and budget constraints.
• Identifies, mitigates and manages technical and project risks associated with capability delivery.
