Job summary

Boeing Defence Australia seeks a Systems Engineer to support the Wakulda Program, contributing from proposal through to integration of changes into the platform.

The role requires approximately 2 years in complex technical development and integration, with strong systems engineering principles and stakeholder engagement. Hybrid work options, based in Brisbane or Williamtown, are available, with Australian citizenship required.

Qualifications

• Understanding of Systems Engineering principles and lifecycle management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to engage and negotiate with stakeholders.
• Experience in complex systems of systems test, integration and verification planning and execution.
• Experience with Change Management processes and artefacts.
• Experience in aerospace and/or defence projects.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements and ensure compatibility of interfaces.
• Performs analyses to optimize system architecture and affordability, safety and reliability factors.
• Supports requirements management, risk, issues, and technology readiness assessment processes.
• Tests and validates designs to meet operational and functional requirements.
• Acts as a stakeholder interface to communicate engineering status on project deliverables.
