Job summary

seek.com.au is seeking a hands-on System Administrator to support reliability, performance and security of IT systems in a digitally transforming business. You will work with senior IT staff, stakeholders and external providers to ensure teams have the technology and access they need to perform.

As a foundational IT professional, you will troubleshoot daily issues, assist with system maintenance and contribute to improvements across enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV/ Diploma in Information Technology or Year 12 completion with IT experience.
• Experience in IT support, a helpdesk environment or systems administration.
• Foundational understanding of computer hardware, software, IT systems and networking.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Clear communication and ability to support users with varying levels of technical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support and troubleshoot issues, escalating complex matters as needed.
• Assist with maintenance and administration of core IT systems and infrastructure.
• Configure computers, devices, software and user accounts for new starters.
• Perform routine system checks, updates and performance monitoring.
• Coordinate onboarding of new employees with HR for equipment and access.
• Collaborate with external IT providers to resolve issues and maintain services.
• Maintain IT documentation, inventories and records of support activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve systems and the overall technology experience.
