KBR Australia is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead technical investigations of Defence platform systems, develop and verify engineering instructions and documentation, and support systems engineering activities across the full project lifecycle.

Responsibilities include requirements management with DOORS, change control and engineering review boards, systems safety and configuration management, and active participation in design reviews; you will mentor junior engineers and build strong

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering is required.
• CPEng status and 5+ years in Defence systems engineering preferred.
• Experience developing and executing SE plans (SEMPs).
• Requirements management using DOORS.
• Change control and engineering review board experience.
• Systems safety and configuration management knowledge.
• Experience in Defence environments and ASDEFCON framework.
• Experience managing engineering risk.
• Experience in V&V planning and testing, stakeholder engagement, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical investigations for Defence platform systems.
• Develop and verify technical instructions, engineering data and docs.
• Support systems engineering activities across the project lifecycle.
• Manage requirements from inception to service introduction and sustainment.
• Contribute to change management and configuration management.
• Participate in design reviews and support assurance activities.
• Act as Design Acceptance Representative for capability upgrades.
• Support verification and validation planning and execution.
• Engage Defence stakeholders and project teams; mentor junior engineers.
