Job summary

Victoria Police is seeking a System and Network Administrator for the SPU IT division in Docklands, Melbourne. You will manage Windows/Linux environments, VMware, and networking to support 24/7 operations and frontline personnel.

The role demands strong problem solving, end-user support, and collaboration with vendors. Normal hours are 8:00am–4:00pm with after-hours on a roster basis; national security vetting is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in Networks, Hardware and Software deployment and operations including CRM and SharePoint.
• Experience with SCCM/WSUS/KMS/PowerShell, Active Directory and VMware.
• IT or Telco qualification and/or 3 years relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor performance and ensure optimal operation of platforms.
• Report and resolve issues for users including desktop and business equipment.
• Advise on improvements to optimize performance.
• Assist in deploying physical and virtualised systems.
