Sydney Water is offering an up-to-11-week paid internship across Greater Sydney locations, with a potential extension beyond the program. The internship runs from late November 2026 to February 2027 and may extend for another 12 months for high performers, with part-time engagement during University.

Applicants are university students finishing study in 2027, with Australian citizenship or permanent residency.

About the role

Our Internship Program provides university students completing their studies in 2027 with the opportunity to gain meaningful paid work experience while completing their studies. The program runs from 30 November 2026 to 12 February 2027 and offers exposure to real projects, professional development opportunities, and the chance to work alongside experienced professionals across Sydney Water. Potential extension for additional 12 months for high performing interns (2-3 days per week during university).

Location

Please note that opportunities are available across multiple Sydney Water locations throughout Greater Sydney, including Parramatta, Potts Hill and other operational sites in Sydney’s North, South and Western Regions. Some locations may require access to your own transport.
