Job summary

Public Sector People partners with an established organisation in Sydney to recruit a Planning & Development Manager. The role focuses on existing sites, brownfield redevelopment, and shaping a clear pathway for redevelopment across a varied property portfolio.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning or architecture with redevelopment opportunities.
• Understanding NSW planning system and approval processes.
• Ability to interpret planning controls and assess implications for a site.
• Experience coordinating consultants and managing stakeholder priorities.
• Clear communication and ability to present practical recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Assess existing sites to identify planning constraints and redevelopment potential.
• Develop site options balancing design quality, practicality and long-term use.
• Coordinate input from architects, planners and other consultants.
• Guide planning pathways and support development applications and approvals.
• Engage with councils and stakeholders to progress proposals; prepare recommendations for decisions on future property use.
