Job summary

Amida Group is seeking a Commercial Lead / Contracts Manager in Sydney to head the commercial function on multiple projects, with 7–15 years experience. The role involves leading a team of 3–4 Senior/Contracts Administrators, providing contractual and commercial guidance, and supporting project teams on complex defence, remedial and construction projects.

The role reports to the Commercial Manager and may include dipping in and out of projects, with individual projects ranging up to $15m–$75m

Qualifications

• 7-15 years+ experience in a similar role
• Tertiary qualification in Contracts Management, Engineering, Construction Management or similar
• Understanding of project administration and project controls
• Knowledge of risks and limitations across legal agreements and requirements
• Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to build stakeholder relationships
• Superior analytical and time management skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite with strong Excel knowledge

Responsibilities

• Commercial review of contracts, MSAs and Agreements
• Manage all reporting and submission
• Instrument and maintain the subcontract management process
• Monitor and improve contracts administration process
• Liaise with stakeholders to ensure commercial requirements are reached
• Document control management
• Assist with HSEQ and Project Managers to ensure compliance with management systems
