Job summary

Gold Coast City Council is seeking a Coordinator Sustainable Transport Assets to lead the sustainable road assets function and act as Asset Custodian for pathways and road-inventory assets. You will oversee lifecycle planning, risk, performance, inspection strategy and renewal programs while aligning with customer outcomes and council priorities.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent knowledge and experience.
• C Class Drivers Licence (Unrestricted).
• Construction General Induction Card (White) or ability to obtain.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a multidisciplinary asset-management/infrastructure team.
• Advanced knowledge of asset management, lifecycle planning, risk and performance.
• Ability to convert complex asset, customer, condition, financial and risk information into clear priorities.
• Strong program, project, contract, consultant and financial management capability.
• Ability to apply governance across project definition, design, delivery and handover.
• Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to develop people, delegate effectively and build a constructive team culture.
• Working knowledge of asset information, spatial, reporting and corporate systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the sustainable road assets function, acting as Asset Custodian Representative.
• Provide leadership across lifecycle planning, asset performance and risk, inspection strategy and maintenance stewardship.
• Translate asset needs and evidence into affordable maintenance, minor works and renewal programs.
• Operate as part of the senior leadership group with accountability for quality, cost and timeliness.
• Ensure timely, consistent and technically sound responses to customers and stakeholders.
