Job summary

Clarence Valley Council is seeking an Asset Management Officer to drive asset data quality and support informed decisions across infrastructure portfolios. The role emphasizes data handling, governance and collaborative problem solving within a dynamic local government setting.

Applicants bring data analysis capability, a foundations in lifecycle management and the ability to engage with a range of stakeholders while upholding the STRIVE values. Location at Rushforth Road works depot.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in science, technology or engineering.
• Understanding of asset lifecycle management principles in local government.
• Holder of a current Class C Driver’s Licence.
• Ability to build positive relationships with internal and external partners and demonstrate STRIVE values.

Responsibilities

• Manage asset data and asset management activities for an assigned infrastructure portfolio (e.g., Transport, Water and Sewer, Open Spaces and Facilities).
• Ensure asset information is accurate and supports data-driven decision making and service delivery outcomes.
• Improve asset management maturity through better use of systems, data governance and lifecycle planning.
• Collaborate with asset owners, project managers, operations staff, finance staff and IT & Systems teams.

Education

Tertiary qualifications in science/technology/engineering or equivalent experience

Asset lifecycle management principles (local government)

Class C Driver’s Licence

Stakeholder engagement and relationship-building
