Job summary

Monash Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the West 3 ward (Vascular and General Surgery) at Dandenong Hospital. This is a temporary, part-time parental leave cover for 12 months, based at West 3.

You will deliver high-acuity surgical nursing care, support complex discharge planning, and work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, timely patient outcomes. You must hold current AHPRA registration and have experience in a surgical setting.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration.
• Previous experience within a relevant surgical field.
• Availability to work a rotating roster.
• Subject to a satisfactory Police Check and current Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity vascular and general surgery nursing care.
• Support discharge planning and patient education.
• Monitor and manage drains, infusions, and wound care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to achieve timely discharges.
