Job summary

UnitingCare Queensland is seeking a casual Supported Living Facilitator to visit clients in their homes, delivering in-home care and daily living support. You will help with personal care, meals, housekeeping, and transportation, using your own vehicle for client visits.

Hours are typically weekdays 9am–5pm with a focus on empowering clients to maintain independence and participate in community activities. CPR/First Aid and a valid driver’s license are essential, with salary packaging and

• CPR and First Aid certification required before start.
• Open Drivers License with access to a vehicle essential.
• Own vehicle is required for attending client visits.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English (spoken/written).
• Experience in Disability/Aged/community services is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home care and daily living support to clients.
• Assist with personal care, meal prep, hygiene, and household tasks.
• Drive between clients using own vehicle and schedule visits.
• Support clients to engage in community activities and appointments.

Remuneration: $ 45.28 p/hr + Super + NFP Salary Packaging (save tax and increase your take home pay)

Your part in our UnitingCare team

You’ll provide care to your clients living in the community, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life. With no two days ever the same, you’ll spend your time on the road completing your scheduled visits, interacting one-on-one with clients and their loved ones within their homes completing activities that include:

In home personal care, daily living assistance including showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry & ironing

Must be available to drive between clients with your own vehicle

Hours are mainly Monday to Friday between the hours of 9am-5pm

Providing care in accordance with their individualised Care Plan

Supporting with community based recreational and social activities

Transportation and assistance with shopping and appointments

What makes a difference for us?

Able to work effectively with others in a team-oriented environment and provide excellent support to clients and co-workers

Able to effectively communicate in spoken and written English

Experience working in the Disability, Aged and Community sector is ideal but not essential – as long as you have positive attitude and a willingness to learn

Current CPR and First Aid Certificate (required before you start)

Open Drivers License and access to vehicle
