Job summary

Supported Care in Brisbane seeks casual Support Workers to assist customers across Brisbane, including North and South Brisbane. You will help people living with mental health and psychosocial disabilities build confidence, maintain independence and enjoy meaningful daily experiences.

Expect varied days with opportunities to provide practical support, form genuine connections and make a positive impact. A reliable vehicle and flexible weekday shifts are preferable.

Qualifications

• Current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Weekday availability, including early morning shifts from 6-7 AM onwards.
• Mental health and challenging behaviour experience is preferred, but not essential.
• Passionate about supporting people with different levels of independence and varying support needs.
• Compassionate, patient and able to build trust with people.
• Reliable, respectful and willing to learn.
• Able to stay calm, think on your feet and problem-solve.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support based on each customer's needs and support plan.
• Support participants with community access, appointments and daily activities.
• Assist with domestic duties, meal preparation and budgeting.
• Support with personal care when required.
• Assist with medication administration in line with training and support plans.
