Job summary

Open Minds in Brisbane is seeking experienced Casual Support Workers to assist clients across North Brisbane, including Albany Creek, Lawnton, Redcliffe, Kippa-Ring and Chermside. You will help clients with Community Access, supporting them to stay active and connected in their local communities.

This role is ideal for people who are compassionate, empathetic and person-centred, with availability to work at least four days per week.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) will be highly regarded.
• Experience supporting individuals living with mental health conditions, including schizophrenia, depression, and anxiety, will be highly regarded.
• A compassionate, empathetic, and person-centred approach to support.
• Availability to work at least 4 days per week

Responsibilities

• Support clients with Community Access and help them stay active and connected in their local communities.
• Assist clients to attend appointments, complete shopping and everyday errands, and participate in social activities.
• Support clients to access community-based programmes and services.

About You

Requirements

• A current Open Driver's Licence and access to own vehicle
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow card) or ability to obtain
• QLD Blue Card (Working with Children clearance) or ability to obtain
• Availability of at least 4 days per week
