Job summary

genU is seeking an Overnight Sleep - Support Worker to team up with customers, helping them unleash their full potential by supporting people with disabilities through accommodation and community engagement.

You will support life goals, daily living skills, and medication administration, while following positive behaviour support plans and handling administration duties as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting customers with behavioural support plans.
• Understanding and enthusiasm for working with people with disabilities.
• Ability to manage complex situations with patience and maturity.

Responsibilities

• Support customer-centred plans identifying life goals and work to achieve them.
• Assist with daily living skills such as meal prep, housekeeping, showering and toileting, and medication administration.
• Ensure adherence to positive behaviour support plans.

genU is looking for Overnight Sleep - Support Worker who can team up with our customers to help them unleash their full potential. You will be making a real impact by helping people with disabilities through accommodation and community engagement.

• Support person-centred plans that identify a customer’s life goals and working to achieve them;
• Support customers in daily living skills such as meal preparation, housekeeping, showering and toileting and medication administration;
• Ensure positive behaviour support plans are followed; and
• Administration duties and mandatory reporting

What you’ll bring

• Extensive experience in supporting customers with behavioural support plans;
• An understanding and enthusiasm for working alongside people with disabilities;
• Ability to manage complex or difficult situations as they arise with patience and maturity;
• Previous experience with manual handling and medication administration;
• Willingness to assist with personal care and domestic duties experience;
• Cert III in Disability, Individual Support or higher (or working towards one) is essential;
• Ability to transport customers in a company Van;
• A valid drivers licence and willingness to use your private vehicle (aligned with genU motor vehicle allowance rebate).

(You’ll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate – but don’t worry, we’ll help guide you through this.)
