Job summary

Aruma is seeking passionate Support Workers to empower people with disabilities and young individuals to live the life they choose. You will provide tailored, person-centred support across a 24/7 roster, including sleepovers and public holidays, delivering compassionate care and helping build independent living skills.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams to implement support plans, promote inclusion, and advocate for rights while creating safe environments for those with complex needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in disability, aged care, or family/community services.
• A current First Aid and CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain.
• Valid Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle
• NDIS Worker Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including days, sleep overs, weekends & public holidays
• Availability for 24/7 rostered shifts

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, individualised support to people with disabilities and young people
• Assist with personal care, mobility, and skill development
• Build meaningful connections and provide mentorship and emotional support
• Support community participation and recreational activities
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement support plans
• Advocate for customer rights and promote independence
• Create safe, trauma-informed environments for young people with complex needs
