Job summary

Aruma is seeking compassionate Support Workers to empower people with disabilities and young individuals. You’ll provide tailored, person-centred assistance, support daily living activities, and help with mobility and skills development in a 24/7 roster environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in disability, aged care, or family/community services.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate or willingness to obtain.
• NDIS Worker Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Valid Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle.
• Strong communication, empathy and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts including days, sleepovers, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, individualised support to people with disabilities and young people.
• Assist with personal care, mobility, and skill development.
• Build meaningful connections and provide mentorship and emotional support.
• Support community participation and recreational activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement support plans.
• Advocate for customer rights and promote independence.
• Create safe, trauma-informed environments for young people with complex needs.
